Review Bank Feeds: Log into the accounting software (QuickBooks/Xero) to see what transactions cleared

Data Entry: Code daily receipts, sales, and purchases to the correct ledger accounts.

Monitor Cash Flow: Keep an eye on bank balances to make sure the client has enough cash to cover immediate expenses.

Accounts Payable (AP): Input bills from vendors and suppliers, track their due dates, and schedule them for payment.

Accounts Receivable (AR): Create and email invoices to the client’s customers, track who hasn't paid, and send polite payment reminders (collections).

Match Receipts: Gather receipts sent by the client (via apps like Dext or Hubdoc) and match them to the bank transactions so they are audit-proof.

Process Payroll: Calculate employee hours, track commissions/bonuses, deduct taxes, and initiate direct deposits.

Bank & Credit Card Reconciliation: Compare the accounting software records against the official monthly bank statements to make sure the balances match down to the exact penny.

Generate Financial Statements: Produce the core monthly reports for the owner:

• Profit & Loss (P&L): Did we make money or lose money?

• Balance Sheet: What do we own vs. what do we owe?

• Cash Flow Statement: Where did the actual cash go?

  Sales Tax Filing: Calculate the sales tax collected from customers and file/remit it to the state.
